Lilly is Thirteen Today!

My little Lilly Bean is 13 years old today!  Her Golden Birthday!
I cannot fathom that I am the mother of a teenager!  Yikes!
She is wonderfully funny, intelligent, witty, beautiful and confident!
We had a great pool party with family and a friend.

We swam, played beach ball, corn hole, truth or dare, and a couple games that Lilly invented:
Pin the Horn on the Unicorn and How Old is Lilly?
We ate cake, opened presents and laughed so many times throughout the morning!

I am so honored she chose me as her mom and it warms my heart to call her MINE.
Happy Birthday Lilly, may all your wishes come true!

Texas & Oklahoma Trip

In August the kids and I had the opportunity to go to Dallas, Tx for a visit with my Dad before the kids started school.  From Dallas we drove to Roff, Oklahoma to re-visit some places I had been many Summers as a kid.  We first went to my great-grandparents farm in Roff.  A place that once seemed so big, with wide open spaces all around, really isn't big at all!  It's the tiniest little farmhouse in the middle of nowhere!  It was so amazing to be able to take my kiddos there!

We had a great time collecting GIANT Oklahoma bugs at the cabin we stayed in.  We went to a breathtaking place called Turner Falls, where my Dad had gone as a child.  I have never seen such a pretty river!  We also went to Little Niagra, where Lilly jumped off the same little water fall I had jumped of 20 years earlier.  Quite a wonderful trip, one I will NEVER forget!

King Family Reunion 2015

We drove from Peoria, AZ to Grand Junction, CO for another family reunion!!!
The drive went fairly fast and it was so wonderfully heart-warming to re-connect with Aunts, Uncie, Cousins, and all the Little Ones once again!
There were a few who couldn't make it but we had a pretty amazing turn-out!
Even Cousin Jesse made a surprise appearance!  What!?!

The hot afternoon's were spent slip-n'-sliding in the sunshine while visiting and sipping sun-tea.
The warm, starry evenings were spent slapping mosquitoes, drinking cocktails and playing party
games like Jenga, Beer-Pong and Cards Against Humanity!

I sure do cherish this kooky King family!
