Field Trip Finale

I was lucky enough to be a chaperone on Lilly's end of the year, class field trip.  We hiked through the forest, pointing out every pile of dear scat and just enjoying nature!

After a picnic lunch, there were different discovery stations.  One of our favorites was the bubble station.

  
Lilly found the snakes fascinating, while I kept behind the camera for that one.  

Hunting for insects was fun too!  As a small herd of second graders began following us, Lilly told me I was a great adventurer.  (After all,  I do know where to find the best roley-poley bugs and worms!) It was a special day for both of us.
